Mexican Candy Shot

Written by Admin

The Mexican Candy Shot is a vibrant and zesty cocktail inspired by the flavors of Mexican candies. Typically, it combines tequila with a splash of spicy Tajín seasoning, a squeeze of lime juice, and sometimes a hint of sweetness from either agave syrup or grenadine. This shot packs a punch with its spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors, reminiscent of the popular Mexican candies it draws inspiration from. It’s often served in a salt-rimmed glass for an extra pop of flavor.

Ingredients :

1 ounce tequila

½ ounce watermelon schnapps such as Watermelon Pucker

2 dashes hot sauce

lime wedge for the rim

chili-lime seasoning for the rim

Instructions :

Place chili-lime seasoning (or salt) on a plate.

Rub a lime wedge around the edge of the glass.

Roll the rim of the glasses in the seasoning to coat the rim.

To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the tequila, watermelon schnapps and hot sauce. Shake well and strain into the prepared shot glasses
